Every season someone asks why we do not bring lights. The short answer: daylight changes, and the change is the picture.
The cost of waiting
Waiting for the right light looks expensive on a schedule. In practice it means fewer set-ups, a smaller crew and pictures that need less retouching.
Planning for the forecast
We book two days for every day of shooting and pick the better one the evening before. Clients get used to it quickly once they see the first contact sheet.
What we still light
Product details and anything shot after dark. Everything else waits for the sun.
